Safety

At HardHat Workforce Solutions, we strive for excellence in every aspect of our business, and employee safety is no exception to this standard. As one of our core values, employee safety is more than just another part of our day; it’s the cornerstone of our culture.

We have invested in safety training and planning as an integral part of the management process at HardHat because a culture of safety doesn’t just happen by “accident.” Our safety culture starts at the top with President Rocky Hartman and radiates to every office and field employee, including our recruiters. When it comes to safety, we put our money where our mouth is; Hardhat employs five OSHA 500 Authorized Instructors and a full-time Safety Coordinator—an almost unheard-of investment for a company our size.

Every construction worker knows the importance of having the right tools for the job. At HardHat, we believe that employees must be equipped with the right tools to stay safe. Employment at HardHat starts with a thorough one-on-one safety orientation, an introduction to construction safety, and a course on the HardHat Safety Culture. We give additional attention to the five key safety areas that we have identified as the HardHat “Focus 5": electrical, falls and ladders, strains, cuts, and hand tools.

Focus 5

Construction sites are constantly changing, and each one presents unique safety hazards. Every HardHat office provides free training on a vast assortment of safety topics and hazards, as well as OSHA 10- and 30-hour classes. Some of the most popular training classes that we provide are the following:

  • Aerial Work Platform Operator Certification
  • Heavy Equipment Operator Certification
  • OSHA 10- and 30-Hour (Construction)
  • Hazard Communication
  • Fall Protection
  • Ladder Safety
  • Hazard Recognition

Along with safety training, safety awareness is an everyday priority at HardHat. Our office staff is continually walking jobsites with employees and contractors, educating employees on the hazards that surround them and issuing new Personal Protective Equipment (PPE). Our extensive presence on jobsites also allows us to continually grow and improve our safety process by tailoring our training programs to actual hazards and real world experiences.

HardHat Workforce Solutions is committed to providing a safe and healthy work environment for every single employee. Our employees’ families expect them to come home safely, and so do we. We are devoted to growing partnerships with our employees and customers to provide first-class training and solutions to the safety hazards that are so prevalent in the construction industry. When it comes to safety, “We Are All In!”
